The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Yog’ which in turn, means ‘to join’ or ‘to unite’. Hence, yoga is a union with God to live a contended, peaceful and balanced life. Passed down several generations by yogis, rishis and seers, it acts as a way to offer liberation and expansion of human consciousness.

  • It aims to achieve this through a series of physical and mental At the physical level, the methods comprise various yoga postures or ‘Asanas’ that aim to keep the body healthy. The mental techniques include breathing exercises or ‘pranayama’ and meditation or ‘Dhyana’ to discipline the mind.
  • Yoga as exercise or alternative medicine is a modern phenomenon which has been influenced by the ancient Indian practice of hatha It involves holding stretches as a kind of low-impact physical exercise, and is often used for therapeutic purposes

Maharishi Patanjali is the ‘father of Yoga’ who compiled 195 Yoga Sutras that became the foundation of Yoga philosophy International Yoga Day, or Yoga Day, is celebrated on June 21 and was declared so by United Nations General Assembly. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice or discipline that originated in India.

  • 5 Nights / 7 Days:

Day 01: ARRIVE DELHI (No Meals)

Arrive Delhi. Met and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 02: DELHI – RISHIKESH (B/L/D)

Breakfast and then you will be transfer to Rishikesh. On arrival, check in to the ashram. Rest of the time at relax in Ashram, or can enjoy Library or have short tout of Rishikesh. Veg Dinner & overnight stay at Ashram.

 

Day 03 – Day 06: RISHIKESH (B/L/D)

Day 07: RISHIKESH – DELHI – DEPARTURE (B/L/D)

Breakfast at ashram, later on checkout and then drive to Delhi. On arrival, have lunch at local restaurant and then have short city tour of Delhi visit After lunch visit India Gate– at the Centre of the city (42 meter, high stone arch) is a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers who fought & died in the campaign of world war-1 & Afghan war, President House

, once the, Parliament House – this circular shaped building houses the two houses of Parliament- The Lok Sabha (lower) & Rajya Sabha. House and free for last minute shopping. In the evening will proceed for dinner at local restaurant and then transfer airport for onward destination.

  • 6 Nights / 8 Days:

Day 01: ARRIVE DELHI (No Meals)

Arrive Delhi. Met and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 02: DELHI – AGRA – DELHI (B/L/D)

Early breakfast and then drive to Agar – The city of Taj. On arrival, proceed to visit Taj Mahal (it is closed on every Friday)

built by Mughal Emperor Shah- Jehan for his Empress Mumtaj Mahal. The construction believed to have taken 22 years to complete with over 20,000 craft men working round the clock.

Agra Fort– built at the bank of Yamuna River, is situated in the center of the town. Various styles of the architecture are evident within the fort & demonstrate the love of Mughal Emperors towards building beautiful monuments. Later on have lunch at local restaurant and then drive back to Delhi. On arrival, have dinner at local restaurant and then transfer hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 03: DELHI – RISHIKESH (B/L/D)

Breakfast and then you will be transfer to Rishikesh. On arrival, check in to the Ashram. Rest of the time at relax in Ashram, or can enjoy Library or have short tout of Rishikesh. Veg Dinner & overnight stay at Ashram.
